Unboxing and Design

In the box first you will get the HE68 keyboard itself and then User Manual, Braided high quality USB cable for the wired connection, keycap pullers and lastly 2 Extra pink Magnetic switches. Tha’s all we getv in the box.

As far the design, this is the 65% QWERTY Keyboard and it’s really a compact gaming keyboard. You have two color variants first is the Black Red, and White Purple. All these have Magnetic Pink switches. I have the White Purple, the full body is white, even the keycaps are white, only the print is in purple and two keycaps are purple the ESC and Enter keycaps with white print. On the left side, it has a purple strap to cry anywhere, and the strap quality is premium. When you’re holding it, you don’t have to worry about it falling or the strap breaking.

On the front edge, left side features a toggle button to switch macOS and Windows mode and a USB-C port for the wired connection.

On the back, we have a height-adjustable kickstand and in the center a small metal piece which has the Epomaker logo and model name with some other info icons. The build material is ABS plastic premium, as its full white body easily catches dust you can see them in the above image as well so you need to clean it from time to time.
USB-C Wired Connection
The HE68 have only wired connection, you don’t get a wireless option, but the C-type provides 8K polling rate which helps gamers get ultra fast transmission and minimal input lag, and as I have testing it, there no issue at all, works responsive and fast.
Switches and Keycaps

On the HE68 we have Magnetic Pink switches hot-swappable which features adjustable actuation Hall Effect switches, allowing you to customize the actuation point for faster response times and quicker actions. The Snap Tap function provides tactile feedback, enhancing responsiveness and precision. Additionally, the customizable dead zone lets us define a range where no input is registered, improving control and accuracy based on personal preferences.
As it’s a 65% QWERTY ANSI US layout keyboard, it saves desk space and features 67 keys. It has all essential keys for gaming, but it does miss some shortcut keys. We do get some like Ins, Delete, PgUp, PgDn only. There’s no button to pause or screenshot, which is not good for productivity. Yes, it does have all essential keys for gaming. And one more thing is this the keyboard supports SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Key Detection), ensuring that when two opposite keys are pressed at the same time, the keyboard registers only the intended key action.
My typing experience is great — it fits my fingers perfectly and lets me write reviews with ease, faster than ever, with amazing tactile sounds. You can hear it for yourself in the sound test below I’ve shared here.
