I tested out the two TWS Earbuds, the One is OnePlus Buds Pro 2 price at $149, which have LHDC 5.0 48db ANC, Matte finish design and up to 32 hours battery performance with case.

The another one is the Oppo Enco X2 price at $169, it has LDAC, LHDC 4.0, AAC and 93ms latency, glossy design. Enco x2 provide total 25 hours battery performance with case. So let’s know which one you should buy if want to get from one of these.

Unboxing

OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Earbuds Unboxing

So inside the box, we get warranty and user manual documents on which it is written Buds for Life. and then the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 itself, and a two pairs of silicone eartips, along with USB type-c charging cable.

Oppo Enco X2 Earbuds Unboxing

As far the Oppo Enco X2 unboxing, the box is premium and first we get Enco x2 itself, and then same accessories as Buds Pro 2, two pair of silicon eartips and USB type-c charging cable and some documentation.

The unboxing experience good the the items in the box fitted with well care, so let’s talk about build and design.

Build and Design

OnePlus Buds Pro 2 vs Oppo Enco X2 design and build

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 (review) comes with matte finish in green color, I like the matte finish buds because it doesn’t get enough scratches, and that is Buds Pro 2 have.

As far the Oppo Enco X2 (review) it comes with glossy finish it’s get some scratches when i testing it. both buds created with DYNAUDIO collaboration, they have USB type-c ports. the hinges are good if close the buds you get the may hear the sound, and as for the fitting both fits in my ear perfectly without any hesitate.

Controls and Fetaures

OnePlus Buds Pro 2 vs Oppo Enco X2 both buds have pinch touch controls, but when i testing controls, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 pinch control is little bit smooth, react faster then Enco X2 buds.

The Oppo Enco X2 comes with Bluetooth version 5.2 and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 has Bluetooth 5.3, i did not get any issue in connectivity they work perfectly. Both buds support google fast pairing so when you pairing these buds you get an pop-up then they connected your device.

OnePlus Buds Pro 2 vs Enco X2 earbuds both have IPX54 rating, but the Oppo case is not have any rating, and the OnePlus case have IPX4 rating. So if you working in rainy environment and get little bit water on the OnePlus case you don’t have to worry, but i don’t know about the Oppo case because not have any rating.

Both earbuds have in-ear detection, which means if you enjoying your music or someone comes to talk with then pulled out the buds they automatically pause the music and when put back in ear they resume the music.

The Oppo Enco X2 have Dolby Atmos support but it works only on Oppo Phones like Find N series, and with the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 we have Spatial Audio which only works on OnePlus phones like OnePlus 11 or upcoming. So they both have limitation in Dolby Atmos or Spatial Audio feature support.

(ANC) Active Noise Cancellation

These two premium TWS earbuds big point is the (ANC) Active Noise Cancellations, in the Enco X2 we have 45db ANC and Buds Pro 2 have 48db ANC. I tested both ANC and they amazing, the difference of 3db between Oppo and OnePlus, I didn’t get any ANC difference and the transparency modes work very well, i hear clear voice of my front person. In the active noise cancelation section they both work well if you forget the 3db less on the Oppo.

App Support and Customization

Oppo Enco X2 vs OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Controls and App Features

The Oppo and OnePlus both have app which you can download from the Google Playstore. In the app you have the battery option that show how percentage has left in buds, and you get ANC on or off option, transparency personalization. In the OnePlus App you have Sound Maste EQ, High-Res Mode, and in the Oppo app Enco Master EQ, High-quality audio which can show you codex LHDC, LDAC, AAC.

In both app you have game mode, you can customize the audio according to your genre. In the OnePlus app you have Zen Mode Air which have 5 different types of sound, and the both buds have dual connection support. In the controls section of both buds you can customize the pinch controls for each buds.

Battery life

As far the battery, here they both some difference, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 case provide 39 hours of battery backup, and the buds provide 9 hours of performance with Active Noise Cancelation off, and with ANC on I get 5 to 6 hours performance , which is really good at the price of $149.

The Oppo Enco X2 is also start with price $169 which gives 25 hours of backup with the case and the TWS earbuds provide 6 to 7 hours of performance with Active Noise cancellation off and with ANC on 4.5 to 5 hours of music listening and Hi-ress audio or LDAC audio included, which downgrade the backup performance.

In the battery performance the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 wins because OnePlus comes at $149 and the Oppo buds has starting price $169 and gives less battery backup performance then Buds Pro 2. but if you have not any issue about the battery performance priority then Enco X2 is better which fatures LDAC, LHDC, and AAC support.

Sound Quality

Oppo Enco X2 vs OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Buds Design and Sound Quality

As far the sound quality, both buds have tuned DYNAUDIO, and in the Oppo buds we have LHDC 4.0 technology with all three codec support, but in the OnePlus buds we only have LHDC 5.0 support.

The audio quality of both earbuds is same they not any difference, I enjoyed the music on both buds side by side but not get any difference. The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 have good bass and treble is enough crisp, which means nothing is over blasted everything sound perfect.

And the Oppo Enco X2 is also providing same quality as OnePlus, it has good mids, highs, lows, loudness and clearity everything is perfect at this price point.

Gaming and Mic Test

In the multimedia segment, watching movies, YouTube, Netflix, they don’t have any issue, both gives same experience. But in the gaming I notice differences, the Oppo mentioned 94ms latency and OnePlus offers 54ms low latency, I gamed on both earbuds, you won’t able do gaming on Oppo Enco X2, if you playing PUBG, Call of Duty mobile you not get any issue in OnePlus Buds Pro 2.

The OnePlus Buds provide loud and and clear voice in even loud outdoor environment, but in the Enco X2 you get less loud voice.

Which One You Should Buy?

So that’s my full comparison of OnePlus Buds Pro 2 vs Oppo Enco X2, but the question is which one you should buy?

The Oppo Enco X2 current price is $169 and the Buds Pro 2 price is $149, so you save $20 on OnePlus Buds Pro 2. In my opinion the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is the TWS Earbuds to get, it is matte finish which not high amount scratches and has good Audio quality, mic, with 54ms ultra-low latency and the more battery backup over the Oppo Enco X2 which is also has glossy design, so clearly OnePlus wins.
