Tech companies often showcase cutting-edge robots at press conferences, often promoting consumer electronics brands. Samsung’s Ballie, a home robot, received upgrades at CES 2024, including a projector, but did not reach the market. While Amazon Astro and Sony Aibo have occasionally hit the market, most robots only exist in press conferences.

Samsung has confirmed that the Ballie robot, which will be launched at CES 2025, will act as a personal home assistant, autonomously driving around the home to complete tasks. However, home robots have struggled to make progress, with large companies abandoning projects and smaller startups closing due to insufficient features.

Samsung may reveal pricing and availability details for its anthropomorphic ball, Ballie, at its press conference on Monday. While it’s possible it gained traction in South Korea, the US and the rest remain uncertain.
