This is the new Pixel 8 Pro, Google's latest flagship offering across their Pixel lineup. I've had it for about 24 hours, and here are my main takeaways.
I love that pixel 8 pro finally has a matte non-glossy finish on the back. It makes the phone a lot more refined and up-to-date with other popular flagships out there, and I think it looks particularly nice in blue.
The Pixel 8 Pro finally has a completely flat display, which again is great, and gets searingly bright. It can go to a pretty insane 2400 nits at peak brightness.
Pixel 8 pros has a built-in temperature sensor that's used, you guessed it, to measure temperature. I think this is a first in the world of smartphones,
and I'm not sure how useful it's going to be, but it's really interesting that Google chose to include this in the phone's design.
Even though this isn't a physical feature on the phone, the Pixel 8 Pro will be supported within an unprecedented 7 years of OS and security updates. That's a pretty insane promise to make.
The starting Price of Google's Pixel 8 is $699 and for 8 pro at $999 in the US.
