Apple is bringing its Self-Service Repair program to iPads, giving users access to official manuals, tools, and genuine parts for DIY fixes. Starting today, owners of the iPad Air (M2 and later), iPad Pro (M4), iPad mini (A17 Pro), and iPad (A16) can order components like displays, batteries, cameras, and charging ports.
The program, launched in 2022, now covers 65 Apple products, including the latest iPhone 16e, MacBook Air, and Mac Studio. Canada will soon become the 34th country with access.
“We want customers to extend their device’s lifespan without compromising safety or privacy,” said Brian Naumann, Apple’s VP of AppleCare.
Apple also expanded its Genuine Parts Distributor program, allowing independent repair shops to source authentic parts through authorized vendors like MobileSentrix (U.S. & Europe) and Mobileparts.shop (Europe). iPad parts will be available soon.
